Description and use
Movicol Liquid is for the effective relief of constipation and treatment of chronic constipation in adults and children over 12 years of age. Movicol Liquid has a natural mode of action, and works by softening the stool and bulking it up slightly to help you to achieves a gentle, natural bowel movement. When prepared as directed Movicol Liquid is iso-osmotic so that there is no net gain or loss of electrolytes.
Dosage
Prepare Movicol Liquid by diluting one 25 mL capful of Movicol Liquid Orange concentrate with 100 mL of water. For Constipation: one dose per day. A dose consists of 25 mL of Movicol Liquid mixed with and extra 100 mL of water. If necessary increase to 2-3 doses per day. Read the package leaflet before use. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose.

Storage and Disposal
Store below 30 degrees celcius. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Discard product 30 days after first opening. Do not use after the expiry date on the label. Keep medicines out of the reach of children
Warnings
Drink plenty of water. Increase fibre in diet. Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence. Do not take Movicol if you have an obstruction in your intestine, perforated gut wall, severe inflammatory bowel disease, paralysis of the bowel or an allergy to any of the ingredients. If you are pregnant or breast feeding, talk to your doctor before you take Movicol. Laxative products such as Movicol have the potential to interact with other medications- speak with your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Not for use in children less than 12 years of age.
